Triethylcitrate is the triethyl ester of citric acid. This citric acid ester reduces the build-up of unpleasant body odour by inhibiting the sweat-producing bacteria enzyme. Its good skin tolerance and its deodorising properties make triethylcitrate well suited for use in deodorants.

The starch obtained from corn grains is converted into modified starch in several process steps in the presence of phosphoric acid salts. The modified starch is able to absorb moisture and sebum and is therefore a suitable ingredient for solid deodorants.

Water is the foundation of the water phase and solvent for hydrophilic (water-loving) substances.

Coco-Caprylate/Caprate is a fatty acid ester that is easily absorbed by the skin. The skin feels silky soft and dry afterwards. A vegetable oil, such as coconut oil, can be used as a starting material to manufacture this fatty acid ester over several process steps.

Hydrogenated Castor Oil is a hydrogenated vegetable oil that can be processed into fine wax beads. On the basis of a vegetable oil, the wax beads can be used as gentle exfoliating particles in cosmetic products.

The zinc salt of ricinoleic acid is able to reduce or mask body odour without affecting the natural skin flora. Zinc ricinoleate is therefore used as an effective odour-reducing ingredient in deodorants.

The colourless to slightly yellow castor oil is especially good at seeping into the spaces between skin cells thereby protecting the skin from drying out. In formulations which use colour pigments, it helps the pigment adhere to the skin.

Sage leaves contain sage essential oil, flavonoids and tannins. Sage leaf extracts have skin soothing and astringent properties. Therefore, they are suitable, for example, as a component of products for skin cleansing as well as for oral care products.

Bisabolol is a natural ingredient of various essential oils, such as the essential oil extracted from the flowers of true camomile. Bisabolol has a soothing effect on the skin.

Vitamin E is isolated from vegetable oils. It is used as an antioxidant (free radical scavenger).

Sodium salt of the lauric acid ester is a mixture of the sodium salt of the lactic acid esters of both the fatty acids lauric acid and capric acid. With its emulsifying and mild, antimicrobial properties, the mixture is well-suited as an ingredient in emulsions and deodorants.
