NATRUE
Natural cosmetics are not always natural cosmetics. NATRUE is the first internationally recognised quality seal for organic and natural cosmetics and thus creates clarity in the label ‘jungle’. Any products featuring the label of NATRUE guarantee the highest standards.
Each product is inspected by independent certification companies and the non-profit organisation NATRUE monitors the quality of the criteria. The first Weleda products, featuring the NATRUE label came on the market in the spring of 2009.
Vegan
Products that are marked as vegan don’t contain any raw materials derived from animals.
All Weleda cosmetic products and foods are suitable for vegetarians abstaining from meat and fish. However, a contact of these products and their raw materials to material of animal origin during the manufacturing process cannot be ruled out entirely.
Products that are not marked as vegan contain raw materials derived from animals like bees wax, and its derivatives, lanolin, goat milk and/or lactose in natural cosmetic products or honey in elixirs.
Description
Weleda Citrus 24h Roll-On Deodorant conveys a natural freshness, with the pleasant scent of lemon and litsea cubeba. The fragrance is rounded off with slightly floral and spicy notes of petitgrain. This convenient roll-on deodorant, without aluminium salts and all natural essential oils, provides 24h reliable protection from body odors without blocking the pores. Skin’s regulating functions are therefore maintained. The Citrus Roll-On Deodorant Duo includes: Citrus 24h Roll-On Deodorant Two deodorants.

Alcohol is another term for ethanol or ethyl alcohol. In manufacturing plant extracts contained in Weleda's products, mixtures of alcohol and water are used as extraction agents in some formulations. The consistency and stability of natural cosmetic products are improved by alcohol.

Triethylcitrate is the triethyl ester of citric acid. This citric acid ester reduces the build-up of unpleasant body odour by inhibiting the sweat-producing bacteria enzyme. Its good skin tolerance and its deodorising properties make triethylcitrate well suited for use in deodorants.
Glycerin
Glycerin
Glycerin is a natural ingredient in vegetable and animal fats and oils, which mainly consists of triglycerides (compound of glycerol with three fatty acids). In cosmetic products glycerin is used as a moisturising agent due to its hygroscopic (water-attracting) properties. Besides that, it helps with the distribution of O/W emulsions (oil-in-water-emulsions) and it smoothes and protects the skin.

Sodium salt of the lauric acid ester is a mixture of the sodium salt of the lactic acid esters of both the fatty acids lauric acid and capric acid. With its emulsifying and mild, antimicrobial properties, the mixture is well-suited as an ingredient in emulsions and deodorants.

Liquorice roots stand out in particular thanks to the glycyrrhizic acid salts contained in them and due to their long-chain sugars. Aqueous liquorice root extracts have a softening and anti-microbial effect on your skin. This makes them well suited for use in deodorants.
