Vegan
Products that are marked as vegan don’t contain any raw materials derived from animals.
All Weleda cosmetic products and foods are suitable for vegetarians abstaining from meat and fish. However, a contact of these products and their raw materials to material of animal origin during the manufacturing process cannot be ruled out entirely.
Products that are not marked as vegan contain raw materials derived from animals like bees wax, and its derivatives, lanolin, goat milk and/or lactose in natural cosmetic products or honey in elixirs.
NATRUE
Natural cosmetics are not always natural cosmetics. NATRUE is the first internationally recognised quality seal for organic and natural cosmetics and thus creates clarity in the label ‘jungle’. Any products featuring the label of NATRUE guarantee the highest standards.
Each product is inspected by independent certification companies and the non-profit organisation NATRUE monitors the quality of the criteria. The first Weleda products, featuring the NATRUE label came on the market in the spring of 2009.
Description
Cellulite develops naturally – but that doesn’t mean you have to keep it! Weleda’s Birch Cellulite Oil is a completely natural treatment for cellulite using precious plant ingredients. Extracts from young birch leaves, rosemary and butcher’s broom (ruscus) stimulate the skin’s metabolism. They’re blended with active carrier oils, including vitamin rich wheatgerm and jojoba – famously able to hold moisture where it is meant to be. Invigorating grapefruit and cypress oils for fragrance – everything in this oil is here for a purpose. And it works. Warning: This product is not recommend during pregnancy and breastfeeding as it has a detoxifying effect on the body.

The light-yellow to yellow Apricot Kernel Oil is a light oil, which is easily absorbed by the skin and leaves the skin feeling soft and silky. It improves the barrier function of the skin and therefore it is ideal for the attention of sensitive and dry skin. Similar to the Sweet Almond and Peach Kernel Oil, it comprises of a high content of unsaturated fatty oils, such as oil and linoleic acid.

Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil
Jojoba Seed Oil is an oily liquid wax that is very similar to the protective layer of the human skin. At the same time, it supports the barrier function of the skin. Thereby it protects the skin against water loss without leaving it greasy. It is very skin friendly, easily absorbed and is therefore a suitable care product for all skin types, especially for dry skin. It is also very suitable as a foundation oil, which does not go off.

Wheat Germ Oil is a light-yellow vegetable oil that is rich in Vitamin E. It comprises of a high content of linoleic and alpha linolenic acid and is especially suitable for dry and mature skin.
